Slate floor colour enhancer removal

About Project

Our customers contacted us distressed after having their new slate floor and slate skirting boards fitted but against their wishes, the tiler had colour enhanced it leaving the slate looking very dark and almost plastic looking. The flooring was laid in the kitchen, dining room, WC and conservatory.

We attended for a survey and test patch to see if we could restore the floor and skirting boards to the customers satisfaction. Upon conducting the test patch we successfully removed the colour enhancer, rinsed, vacuumed off, dried and then sealed with a matt finish as requested by the customer.

Once they were satisfied with the level of clean and finish to the tile we booked the job in for when they were on holiday to minimise disruption to them. We kept in touch with them while they were away, sending progress reports and pictures as requested. The floor was restored to looking beautiful and natural slate again, the grout was restored by to white and again the seal added the protection to the floor and grout and ease of ongoing maintenance.
